i've been learning.

Study notes from my passage exegesis
|
I preach from a full manuscript whenever possible, as
i'm still an inexperienced preacher. The text in double square brackets
is not spoken, nor are some of the headings. (At a later date i might
make a little more effort to make this clear by adding a style sheet to
these pages, but for the time being, you'll have to work it out for yourself.)
Resources
-
I've made a list of study resources that i've
compiled while writing my sermons. It includes some analysis of different
Bible versions and lists of lexicons & dictionaries and software &
print publishers. It is a work in progress, and is far from complete.
-
For my passage exegesis, i use Gordon Fee's, New Testament Exegesis:
A Handbook for Students and Pastors, Revised Edition, Westminster/John
Knox Press, 1993. I've made an outline
from part III of this book to follow when i'm writing my sermons.
-
There is a lot of Greek in the sermon study notes. If you have
Logos
Bible Software's "GraecaII" font installed, you should be able to view
it correctly. If not, you can get a
free
copy of the Logos Library System which includes it.
